The Read + Rise in Partnership Program is designed to strengthen early literacy outcomes by building meaningful partnerships between schools and families. The program includes:
- Monthly family literacy workshops focused on phonological awareness and phonics using the Scholastic Read and Rise Program materials
- Research-based strategies aligned to classroom instruction
- Optional afterschool tutoring for targeted students
- Strong collaboration between educators, families, and community partners
Approved Schools will be awarded $5,000 to implement the program at their school. Please note – cost of Read and Rise Facilitator Kits and Materials from Scholastic is included in the awarded $5000 and will be ordered by the school. Each school can, and is encouraged, to adapt the program to fit their school's population and need. This includes calling the program something unique to that school.
